Day 9 of #12DaysOfPropmas

On the 9th Day of Propmas… we are making Christmas Cookies!!
They will go very nicely with the mulled wine we made yesterday, I am sure 😉,

Christmas Cookies are a big deal in Austria, and also a big tradition in my family.
Every year on the 8th of December (because it is a public holiday in Austria) we are baking cookies. Usually this will include:
– Vanille Kipferl: a buttery crumbly vanilla cookie
– Gingerbread: cut out in all kinds of shapes and decorated with nuts and fruit
and then some other wild card that changes based on my whims 😄.
This year we made cinnamon stars, so I also decided to include them in the game – since they are a big hit with the old tastebuds 😁.

So from the left we have: Vanille Kipferl, Gingerbread Hearts, Gingerbread Blocks, Linzer Augen (which are very similar to Jammie Dodgers) and Cinnamon Stars
